Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life Sciences Informatics Strategic Assessment Consultant to join our growing team. This role will focus on providing expert guidance and strategic assessments to life sciences organizations helping them optimize their informatics capabilities to drive innovation efficiency and compliance.


The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of life sciences workflows data management and the application of informatics technologies. They will be a strategic thinker with a deep passion for leveraging informatics to drive innovation and efficiencies. They are a selfstarter who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Beyond their technical expertise the ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and collaborator. They excel at building strong client relationships facilitating workshops and presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Assessments:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients current informatics infrastructure data management practices and workflows.
    • Identify gaps inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop strategic roadmaps and recommendations for optimizing informatics capabilities. Roadmap to include technical organizational and process recommendations.

  • Client Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their needs and providing expert advice.
    • Lead client workshops and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
    • Manage client projects ensuring timely and highquality deliverables.


  • Informatics Expertise:
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in life sciences informatics including data analytics cloud computing and AI/ML.
    • Provide expertise in areas such as electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and scientific data management.
    • Ensure clients are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA GxP CLIA ISO).
  • Business Development:


    • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
    • Develop proposals and presentations for potential clients.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.


  • Mentorship:


    • Mentor junior consultants providing guidance and support.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in life sciences or technical discipline (e.g. biology chemistry bioinformatics) or a related field.
  • Minimum of 58 years of experience in life sciences informatics consulting or a related role.
  • Proven history of successfully delivering strategic assessments and implementing informatics solutions.
  • Strong understanding of life sciences workflows and data management practices.
  • Experience with relevant informatics technologies (e.g. ELNs LIMS data analytics platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance within the life science industry.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
