WHY THIS JOB EXISTS
To serve the needs of the business our guests and our colleagues by ensuring efficient and safe running of all hotel plant equipment airconditioning and other systems.
As a member of the Engineering department this role is responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. AVANI employees always find new ways to look after the business their guests and their colleagues. Within this the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Assign the engineering team according to daily work schedule to handle planned maintenance and respond to guest requests and emergency situations.
- Supervise the engineering team in the effective completion of their duties
- Work with other operational departments to ensure that they have all required engineering support to perform their duties.
- Check air conditioning water fire safety systems of the hotel and maintain them according to required standards.
- Close coordinate with all other departments of the hotel to maintain their equipment in daytoday operation.
- Supervise work of external contractors on behalf of the hotel. Support external inspectors in the of their inspections.

Qualifications :
Diploma in Electrical studies
Five years of work experience in a fast paced environment
Should have a strong track record of leadership
Additional Information :
Full grade twelve certificate
