Job Description

General Description
Team members will be provided with an introductory orientation to the firm. This orientation includes administrative and professional matters. Each team member will be assigned a Career Advocate who will assist the team member in building a set of personalized career goals. Other training will include extensive use of information technology including use of the firms accounting and tax networks.
Major Responsibilities
- Understand general accounting and auditing procedures based on the level of service provided
- Plan and execute the daytoday activities of tax engagements of various clients in accordance with RubinBrown Client Service Standards
- Identify and communicate accounting auditing and/or tax matters to other engagement team members
- Preparation of fieldwork financial statements and tax returns as appropriate
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
- Direct communication with clients
- Participate in the budget process
- The team member will be assigned to work on a variety of clients in various industries
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience/Background/Skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related degree Masters degree in Accounting is preferred
- Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in the technology environment
- Have the ability to meet challenging client requirements provide services and possess strong communication interpersonal analytical and research abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strict adherence to professional ethics.
- Ability to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit of the firm
