You will play a key role in conducting systematic research on the quantum coherent manipulation of spins on surfaces. Particular emphasis is placed on molecular spin systems where you can harness quantum correlations of manybody spin systems enabled by atomically precise bottomup synthesis. In our newly established lab you will use lowtemperature high magnetic field scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and tuning fork atomic force microscopy (QPlus AFM) combined with electron spin resonance techniques.
Your profile
Required qualifications include a Masters degrees in Physics Nanoscience Electronic Engineering Quantum Chemistry or related fields with a strong background in solidstate physics quantum magnetism UHV surface science and/or nanoscience. Prior experience with scanning probe microscopy preferably with a focus on magnetic nanostructures or spin resonance studies and programming in Python would be advantageous. We are looking for a highly motivated energetic team player who is curiosity driven and has excellent communication skills in English.
