Mission

As a RAMS Engineer at PLD Space your mission is to ensure the reliability availability maintainability and safety of our aerospace systems throughout their lifecycle. You will play a crucial role in the design analysis and implementation of robust RAMS processes and practices contributing to the success of our space missions and the safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Developand implement the Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety (RAMS)for our MIURA 5 program including launch vehicle payload and groundinfrastructure.
• Performreliability analysis including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) andFault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify potential failure modes their causesand their impacts on system performance.
• Conductrisk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safetyrisks associated with MIURA 5 launch vehicle operation and subsystem testing.
• Collaboratewith crossfunctional teams including design engineers systems engineers andquality engineers to incorporate RAMS requirements into the design anddevelopment process.
• Establishand maintain RAMS documentation including reliability and safety standardsprocedures guidelines and reports.
• Monitorand analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement andimplement reliability and safety enhancements.
• Participatein verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with RAMSrequirements and standards.
• Collaboratewith external stakeholders including regulatory bodies and certificationagencies to ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations andstandards.
• Providetechnical support and expertise in RAMSrelated matters to project teamsmanagement and customers.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements bestpractices and emerging trends in RAMS engineering applying them to enhancethe reliability availability maintainability and safety MIURA 5 program.
• Support safety submission process with Launch Rangeauthority.
• Performing tradeoffs and redundancy optimizationstudies.
• Generatedocumentation for formal program development reviews.

Necessary Requirements

• Ingenierattulo de licenciatura o experiencia relevante demostrable en su lugar. Avanzadogrado preferido.
• > 5years of relevant technical experience.
• Strongunderstanding of RAMS principles methodologies and techniques.
• Knowledgeof reliability analysis methods such as FMEA and FTA.
• Familiaritywith safety analysis techniques including hazard analysis and risk assessment.
• Understandingof systems engineering concepts and practices.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulationsrelated to RAMS such as ISO 9001 ISO 26262 MILSTD882 ECSSQST30 Dependability and ECSSQST40 Safety.
• Proficiencyin using RAMS software tools and simulation software.
• Analyticalthinking and problemsolving skills to assess complex systems and identifypotential reliability and safety issues.
• Strongattention to detail and accuracy in analyzing data and performing riskassessments.
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctionalteams and effectively convey RAMS concepts to stakeholders.
• Abilityto work independently and take ownership of RAMS activities throughout theproject lifecycle.
• Timemanagement and organizational skills to meet project deadlines and managemultiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strongdocumentation skills to create clear and comprehensive RAMS reports anddocumentation.
