What Youll Be Doing
As a Senior Financial Analyst you will be accountable for providing valueadd financial and strategic analysis to support IR and Performance Measurement activities. The role requires robust financial analysis and modelling skills and an understanding of capital markets. You will also require strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with other departments within Finance all business units Corporate Communications and Risk Management.

How Youll Succeed
BuySide Relationship Management Support outreach to existing and potential investors create and maintain quantitative shareholder targeting models respond to external requests for information on CIBCs financial performance coordinate investor event logistics prepare executive briefing memos and analyze changes in CIBCs investor base.
SellSide Relationship Management Review and synthesize equity research and credit rating agency reports create and review detailed financial models of CIBC and peers consolidate and analyze external earnings estimates and identify any misalignment between internal and external financial projections.
Quarterly Reporting Process Support production of public disclosure produce quarterly earnings presentation slides provide financial analysis and research to support external messaging on key themes and conduct quarterly financial benchmarking analysisvs. peers.
Management Reporting and Analysis Provide the Executive Committee and Board of Directors with monthly/quarterly summaries of CIBCs financial results as well as a detailed reporting of nonfinancial key performance indicators.
Who You Are
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. Youre confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
You can demonstrate experience in financial services and have an understanding of a banks business model. Youre fluent with financial statements and can drive meaningful conclusions about performance from financial information. In addition youre strong in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and are comfortable presenting the conclusions of your analysis. While not required experience with FactSet Bloomberg Capital IQ and/or Microsoft Access is beneficial.
Youre a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred. MBA is a nice to have.
