The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Disruptive Computing and Networking (DC&N) software capability is seeking a Deputy Chief Software Architect (Senior / Lead) in El Segundo California Huntington Beach California Annapolis Junction Maryland or Fairfax Virginia.

The position will involve creating software for world class next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept requirements architecture design and development of a future system. Position Responsibilities:
Supports the Chief Software Architect on software architecture and designs on a largescale distributed system.
Leads software architecture trades that may result in creation of new distributed SW components and interactions that align with future system architectures.
Leads program engagements with partners and customers on software capability development and integration into larger systems and system architectures.
Leads definition of software architecture and models needs and coordinate efforts with software engineering teams to meet design development test verification & validation dates.
Leads the identification of software architecture and models needs and coordinate efforts with software engineering teams to meet design development test verification & validation dates.
Leads the identification coordination and communication of software requirements architectures and interfaces for incorporation into system architecture modeling environment and system physical design.
Leads the identification innovation implementation of new tools and processes to support this work scope.
Provides critical support and independent review of the work of teammates.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

10 years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or nonrealtime system
10 years of experience in programming languages such as Python Java C C and MATLAB
5 years of experience with managing or leading people or teams
5 years of experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience using Gitlab

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active Top Security/SCI with Poly Clearance
Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering Software Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics or other technical degree
9 years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or nonrealtime system
Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification

Typical Education/Experience:
Level 4
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience Master7 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard
Level 5
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD9 years related work experience Master12 years related work experience).
