Building Automation Systems Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for building automation systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Install configure and maintain software and hardware components.
- Monitor system performance and minimize downtime to maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Diagnose and resolve networking issues including connectivity and configuration.
- Utilize industry certifications and technical expertise to support system installations.
- Work onsite throughout Tucson and surrounding areas ensuring smooth operation of automation systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in controls and building automation.
- 2 years of experience with Distech and Honeywell.
- 2 years of experience with Niagara and Tridium.
- Strong understanding of computer operating systems including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to configure and debug computer and networking issues.
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting electrical and electronic circuits.
- Familiarity with AC power circuitry 120V and above).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in HVAC electronics or building automation.
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical studies.
- 4 years of experience in controls and building automation.
- 4 years of experience with Distech and Honeywell.
- 4 years of experience with Niagara and Tridium.
- Expertise in HVAC operations controls and building automation.
- Deep understanding of DDC or special systems for advanced roles.
- Niagara N4 certification.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lift and carry ladders drawings personal computers and materials.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for extended periods on construction sites.
- Climb multiple flights of stairs or ladders daily.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record per company vehicle policy.
- Kneel stoop and crawl as required.
- Maintain clear visual acuity and accurate color vision.
- Work in outdoor desert conditions mechanical rooms and extreme heat.
- Exposure to live voltage heavy machinery airborne particles and electrical hazards.
Compensation:
$90000 $120000 per year based on experience.
