Dockworker/Forklift Operator 2ndShift

BSP Trans Inc.has been providing the Maine New Hampshire and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP our team consists of a sixterminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.
We have immediate openings for our Dockworker/Forklift Operator 2ndShift position
Full Time Mon thru Fri 3:00 PM start
$22.00 to $23.00 Per hour based off experience
What you will do on a typical shift:
- Efficiently sort handle load and unload palletized and nonpalletized freight
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment including pallet jack forklift and by hand
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Work in a safe efficient manner adhering to company safety policies
- Work on a dock that is not climatecontrolled for extended periods of time and may be slippery
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally
- Be able to do math with and without a calculator
What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a high paced teamoriented environment with great communication skills
- To be at least 18 years of age
It would be great if you also have:
- Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
- Forklift experience in a freight/lessthantruckload environment
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
