Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Head of Geography to join our outstanding school in Hackney. You will lead a dedicated team and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional Geography education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Geography department ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a stimulating and relevant curriculum that challenges and engages students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress implementing strategies to improve outcomes.
- Lead departmental CPD and ensure teachers are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding lessons.
- Manage departmental resources effectively and efficiently.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the Geography curriculum.
- Strong communication interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A commitment to student success and a passion for Geography education.
