We are seeking a passionate knowledgeable and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in religious education a commitment to engaging students in meaningful discussions and a desire to cultivate an understanding of diverse beliefs and philosophies.

Position Overview:

As a Religious Studies Teacher you will inspire students across KS3 to KS5 helping them explore major world religions ethics and philosophy. You will create engaging thoughtprovoking lessons that encourage critical thinking respect for different perspectives and a deeper understanding of religious and moral issues. The role also involves collaboration with colleagues participation in professional development and contribution to the schools extracurricular offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Studies with an emphasis on inquirybased learning and debate
  • Encourage students to think critically about ethical philosophical and theological questions
  • Develop engaging wellstructured lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Foster an inclusive respectful and stimulating classroom environment
  • Guide students in discussions on religious diversity cultural traditions and moral reasoning
  • Participate in faculty meetings school events and extracurricular activities
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary programs and crosscurricular links

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Religious Studies Theology Philosophy Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
  • Previous experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 to KS5 level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and engage students in openminded discussions on religion ethics and philosophy
  • Experience integrating technology into the classroom is a plus
