Job Description
Reporting to the SCM Manager the Senior Demand Officer is responsible for demand management market analysis and compiling the procurement plan in alignment with SCM Policy and Procedures to support the companys vision mission and strategic organizational goals. The Senior Demand Officer will conduct need assessments categorise commodities acquire budget confirmation compile procurement plans review specifications conduct market analysis advise on sourcing strategies manage procurement plan progress and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
1. Conduct need assessment and acquire budget confirmation.
2. Compile procurement plans based on budget availability.
3. Review specifications to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
4. Conduct market analysis for cost estimations.
5. Advise on sourcing strategies based on market analysis.
6. Manage and report on the procurement plan progress.
7. Provide support in bid and quotation processes.
8. Ensure compliance with all SCM legislative requirements related to demand management.
Requirements
- Degree/National Diploma in Supply Chain Economics or Finance
- 5 years of experience.
- Training and Development: Water industry and Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) market analysis techniques and IT systems.
