Job Description

As an Expansion Intern at H&M you will get the opportunity to spend 10 weeks learning about our business and different functions while getting reallife experience working on current projects. Additionally its a great networking opportunity collaborating with colleagues across the company and connecting with interns from other programs to explore the versatility of our business.

Retail Expansion is focused on store projects and everything connected to customer experience. During the internship you will get exposure to Leasing Construction Facilities Retail Tech Retail Space Controlling Legal and Store Design to develop a holistic understanding of how Retail works.  Day to day you will work alongside Leasing Managers and Expansion Controllers who will play a key role in mentoring developing your skills and offer different training opportunities. You will have a network of support from experienced colleagues that will be on hand to help you learn.

What youll be doing:

  • Learn about our store portfolio strategy & optimization
  • Support analysis of portfolio KPIs/ROI business cases

What youll be learning:

  • How we work with our store portfolio to drive ROI and profitability
  • How we build and maintain stores in line with brand & customer expectations

Qualifications
To be successful in the role as Expansion Intern we believe that you are curious about numbers real estate portfolio customer experience and understanding how to analyze data to drive profitability. 

Additionally we see that you are:

  • A student studying Real Estate Business Finance or similar who is in the later stages of their academic career and will have coursework remaining after completing this internship (preferably in their 2nd year of Bachelors or 1st year of Masters)
  • Analytical
  • Business acumen
  • Curious & creative
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal and with excellent communication skills.

Additional Information

This is a fulltime internship located at our Regional Office in Barcelona. We are looking for someone to start from Early June for 10 weeks.

Benefits

This is a paid internship program meaning you will work fulltime and receive a marketbased salary. Other H&M Group benefits will be shared later in the process. This position requires a valid permit to live and work in Spain.

Recruitment Process & Timeline

When you apply for a Expansion internship role we will have the following steps in the process:

Screening questions: when you apply you will be asked to answer a few short questions to assess your eligibility for the role.

Online assessment: you will be asked to complete an online analytical assessment between 79 April.

Final decision: our goal is to be able to let you know the outcome of the recruitment process by 22 April.
