Job Description: Data Center Facility Manager
Location: Abilene TX
Overview:
The Data Center Facility Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our data center operations. This position is vital for maintaining operational standards and ensuring that the facility meets the organization's needs. The role is focused on facility management within a hightech environment ensuring safety and optimal performance of all installed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the data center to ensure its safety efficiency and stability.
- Manage maintenance and repairs of all data center equipment and infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data center operations.
- Develop and manage a budget for the facility ensuring costeffective management.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure optimal performance and uptime of critical systems.
- Monitor energy usage and implement energysaving initiatives to enhance sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
- Conduct regular audits of the facility to identify and rectify potential vulnerabilities.
- Lead and mentor a team of facility staff to optimize performance and enhance their skills.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies to minimize downtime and maintain service availability.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a facility management role preferably within a data center or similar technical environment.
- Strong understanding of data center operations equipment and best practices for maintenance.
- Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in leading and managing a team in a facility management capacity.
- Handson experience with HVAC UPS systems generators and other critical data center infrastructure.
- Previous work experience in property or facility management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to data center operations such as ISO ANSI/TIA etc.
Salary & Benefits:
The competitive annual salary for this position ranges from $70000 and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance retirement plans and paid time off.
