The EOIS platform has the following planned initiatives which require resources to support several application sustainment and support initiatives. This platform hosts a businesscritical Case Management System Common Assessment under Integrated Employment Services (IES) initiative Apprenticeship System Service Provider Connect System with Data Warehouse and Reporting environment and several public facing applications.
- Monthly application releases EOIS has a planned cycle of 12 monthly releases that requires comprehensive build and test activities in the preproduction environment to ensure seamless deployments to the production environment. EOIS maintenance release deployments ensure modern effective and secure systems are in place to support the daytoday tracking of case management based on Employment Ontario programs.
- Application Operations Maintenance and Support EOIS IT team is responsible to support production and nonproduction environments including application availability and monitoring checks as per service level agreement troubleshooting high priority production issues keeping the lightson addressing service requests incidents change requests application deployments configuration and support.
- Business Intelligence report environment EOIS has an enhanced reporting environment based on SAP Business Object Enterprise (BOE) and Power Center Informatica/Oraclebased ETL system which is an essential component for the EOIS to run business critical daily weekly and monthly reports to make timely informed decisions. Business dependency is extremely high on the availability of these systems.
- Technology upgrades upgrade the various EOIS technologies for businesscritical applications used by internal and external service providers users and keep the government assets current and up to date.
Requirements
Technical Experience:
- Handson experience in application support build and test production deployment change request and release management.
- Knowledge of complex programming concepts and scripting languages such as Bash PowerShell CLI VBScript & JavaScript
- Experience of data and system analysis skills with experience of SQL to verify the integrity of data in the database.
- Working knowledge of ntier webbased applications database technologies software and tools such as CURAM Adobe Experience Manager SAP Business Object Enterprise Oracle and Windows/Linux
- Experience of verification of post deployments for the monthly releases urgent/unplanned deployments and corporate CRQ s
Business Skills and Knowledge of Methodologies:
- 10 years of experience to support the ntier webbased applications and business critical systems.
- Working knowledge of business process analysis techniques structured system life cycle methodologies (SDLC) for business applications
- Sound knowledge of production applications support process (ITIL) including incident management change management deployment support and upgrades.
- Knowledge and experience of Quality Assurance and testing methodology
Communication and Reporting Skills:
Excellent analytical problemsolving interpersonal and negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work closely with business and other IT teams.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
Public Sector Experience
Prior public sector experience would be an asset
