Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Hourly Rate: $22.23 $27.37 (based on experience)
Salary Range: $32366 $39850 per year
Role Overview:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will play a key role in managing patient flow and assisting providers in the treatment and care of patients. The CMA will work with patients from diverse backgrounds providing individualized and compassionate care. This role requires a collaborative patientfocused approach and adherence to the Minnesota Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Assist with patient rooming procedures including obtaining vitals and medical history.
- Administer immunizations injections and medications as directed by providers.
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic inclinic lab tests.
- Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
- Assist with prescription refills and medication documentation.
- Perform xray duties if certified and required.
- Conduct phlebotomy as needed.
Clinic Support:
- Assist with front desk operations and patient checkin.
- Order and stock medical supplies.
- Manage prior authorization processes for treatments and medications.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Adhere to all legal regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient information at all times.
- Document patient interactions and clinical tasks accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (required).
- Certification & Licensure:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required).
- Experience:Previous experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
- Passed xray operators exam or willingness to complete certification as required.
- Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and computer applications.
