About the role

We are looking to add an experienced Paralegal to our growing Legal team.The paralegal position performs a variety of important support duties that are essential to the successful operation of the legal department. The position requires a professional with excellent time management skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Files legal documents such as pleadings motions discovery notices and affidavits in state and federal efiling portals.
  • Keeps uptodate calendar of deadlines in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepares bates stamps and serves discovery responses.
  • Schedules hearings and prepares and files notices accordingly.
  • Communicates with internal and external entities with timely followups when required.
  • Files correspondence proceedings and legal documents in office electronic filing system.
  • Keeps track of active cases and updates legal status report accordingly.
  • Ensures timely mailing of correspondence and documents when necessary.
  • Prepares hearing binders.
  • Assists legal team in performing a variety of legal tasks.

Who you are

  • DetailOrientedLegal Professional: Skilled in conducting legal research drafting documentsand managing case files to support attorneys efficiently.
    Strong Communicator and Organizer: Adept atcoordinating with clients legal teams and court officials while ensuringdeadlines and compliance requirements are met.
    ProblemSolver with a Legal Mindset: Proactive inanalyzing legal issues preparing case strategies and assisting in trialpreparations with precision and accuracy.

      Experience

      • Associates degree in paralegal studies
      • Paralegal certification (or working to obtain paralegal certificate)
      • 13 years experience.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint).
