Key Responsibilities of a Junior Accountant:
Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately entering financial transactions into accounting software and maintaining uptodate records.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing invoices processing payments and ensuring timely payments.
Reconciliations: Reconciling bank statements accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements reports and budgets.
Journal Entries: Posting and verifying journal entries.
Audits: Assisting with audits by gathering relevant documents and ensuring records are in order.
MonthEnd and YearEnd Close: Participating in the monthend and yearend close processes.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
Payroll: Assisting with payroll processing.
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
