Your new role 

As our new Project Manager you will bring your project management expertise into play as you contribute to our sustainable engineering projects. You will be part of our project management team in the UK reporting into the project management lead in the office and linked into the wider UK Buildings Division. 

You will work across a variety of projects and sectors from large defence schemes overseas embassies to infrastructure projects in Antarctica. Our team is vibrant innovative and supportive. You will collaborate with your colleagues to play a critical role in defining and delivering projects that involve multiple stakeholders. Our team is known in Ramboll for being especially good at celebrating project milestones and colleague birthdays so you can expect to join for lots of celebrations.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Delivery of projects from inception to completion ensuring that scope contracts programmes change management risk registers budgets and QA procedures are all in place and maintained through the life of a project.
  • Managing the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings.
  • Communicate with and represent the Clients interest and provide a professional and costeffective service that meets the Stakeholders expectations.
  • Management of subconsultants as the project requires typically this may be quantity surveyors architects or specialist designers.
  • Assume responsibility for the daytoday management of all project activity including Monthly Reports budgets Minutes and (MS Project) Programmes delivery of presentations and chairing enduser and design workshops.
  • Ensuring coordinated and highquality deliverables from our multidisciplinary teams.

 

About you:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in a project management building/civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Track record demonstrating experience of the design (or construction) process having led small to medium sized projects as the Project Manager or been part of a Project Management team on larger/complex projects.
  • Experience of managing commercial processes on projects.
  • An understanding of procurement methods and contract administration.
  • Ability to write high quality reports and be able to interrogate financial information.
