We are YSS!

YSS is seeking an enthusiastic caring and fun Recovery Advocate to join our Cambridge IA team on our newlyopened Ember Recovery Campus.
We want to create a world where youth are valued and empowered to stand strong. To do this we ask our staff to embrace YSS core values Commitment Collaboration Compassion Innovation Integrity and a Can Do Spirit.
MUST HAVES Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in human services or a related field.
  • Two 2 years of directly related experience
  • Individuals in recovery should have at least two years of current continuous sobriety before applying for this position.
  • Travel including transporting clients is required for this position. For YSS insurance purposes you must:
    • be 21 years of age
    • have a valid stateissued drivers license
    • have a clean driving record and
    • have adequate insurance coverage per YSS policy.
SHOULD HAVES Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to think and act quickly to resolve complex problems using creative/critical thinking resourcefulness and tact.
  • Able to access manage maintain and release confidential information and materials with care and discretion and according to applicable policies and laws.
  • Collaborative and able to establish/maintain positive and effective working relationships with others regardless of backgrounds identities and goals.
  • Able to manage resources your own time and the time of others effectively.
The IDEAL Candidate:
  • Is compassionate empathetic patient calm under pressure and able to deal with challenging situations with a good attitude.
  • Has lived experience and a willingness/ability to draw on that experience to support others on their journey to stability recovery and healing.
  • Speaks a language(s) in addition to English.
