Description
The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at theUniversity of Washington in Seattle is recruiting for one fulltime 100 FTE) faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Professor withouttenure (WOT) by reason of funding commensurate with experienceto join the department withan anticipated start date of July 1 2025. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multiyear appointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30. Associate Professors WOT and full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12month service period(July 1June 30. Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the diagnostic neuroradiology service education of medical students residents and fellows and pursuit of academic excellence. Candidates will be expected to perform clinical work in all aspects of neuroradiology (although not including cerebral angiography and related interventions). The neuroradiology section provides clinical coverage and teaching at four medical centers (University of Washington Harborview Northwest and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center) all with stateoftheart equipment including five 3 Tesla and five 1.5 Tesla MR systems three 64detector multidetector CT scanners two dedicated neurointerventional angio suites and two PETCT. Teaching and mentoring of medical students residents and fellows is also a large part of our Sections mission. Participation in departmental outreach as appropriate is expected. The base salary range for this position will be: $33178 $39155 per month $398136 $469860 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. This position is incentive eligible through the physicians practice plan.

The Neuroradiology Section consists of 17faculty members and 9 fellows. We are a large diverse section with an extensive track record of academic success. While all faculty members have experience with all aspects of abdominal imaging dedication and expertise in their chosen clinical and research areas is encouraged and supported. We have ample departmental and university resources for teaching and research including access to cutting edge technology from GE Healthcare and Philips Medical Imaging and protected academic time commensurate with funding.

Candidates mustmeet the following requirements:
M.D. or D.O. or foreign equivalent in medicine
Possess or be eligiblefor medical licensure in Washington State
American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification orABR boardeligible
Successful completion of a neuroradiology fellowship in an accredited program and be CAQcertified or eligible in neuroradiology
Excellence in academic achievement as demonstrated by a record of scientific presentation and/or publications
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1B visa graduates of foreign (nonU.S. medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
