Job Description

Your Role

Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to take your career to the next level Invesco is looking for a passionate individual to lead our Revenue Accounting team. In this leadership position youll manage a talented team of two employees and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Global Business Services organization.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leadingthe production of monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP overseeing reviewing and assisting in the timely preparation of financial reports related to accounting functions.

  • Reviewingmonthly account variance analyses prepared by teams and ensuring readiness to address questions from Global Controllers the Chief Accounting Officer and Heads of Financial Planning & Analysis during monthend meetings.

  • Collaboratingclosely with leaders of the client billing team to ensure smooth transitions between frontend and backend client service matters.

  • Leading the development of processes for growing business and product lines including standardization and automation.

  • Drivinga continuous improvement mindset automating and enhancing efficiencies in work processes.

  • Working closely with the Senior Manager of AUM on special projects and process improvements.

  • Providing guidance and support to team members prioritizing work as needed.

  • Liaisingwith the Accounting Policy team during the implementation of new technical accounting changes.

  • Designingeffective SOX controls and ensure adherence to these defined controls.

  • Plan direct and implementaccounting and financial reporting projects including system conversions new software implementations and SOX compliance.

  • Coordinatingresources across Invesco departments to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Servingas the key coordinator for revenuerelated work service placement transition and integration during acquisitions.

  • Partneringwith the Record to Report (R2R) End to End Global Lead and Performance Management team to identify and execute continuous process improvement opportunities.

  • Supportingthe expansion of responsibilities within the Hyderabad Indiabased Global Business Services team including documentation training and stabilization of transitioned processes.

  • Providingsupport and feedback on staff performance to the Head of Finance Global Business Services Hyderabad ensuring the delivery of service level agreements including accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.

  • Liaisingwith internal and external auditors for walkthroughs and testing of SOX controls and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the yearend audit for revenue.

  • Managingthe performance and development cycle for GBS team members including setting goals completing performance evaluations conducting development reviews and managing work schedules.

  • Overseeingthe recruitment orientation training motivation evaluation discipline and when necessary discharge of subordinate personnel.

The experience you bring:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is required

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry is preferred.

  • At least 7 years of experience in an accounting role.

  • Preferably experienced in a public reporting company.

  • Highly preferred experience working with offshore teams.

  • Strong preference for experience with Oracle Cloud Financials and Revport.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with individuals across various functions and regions.

  • Organizational and Leadership Skills: Processoriented with the capability to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Leadership Abilities: Proficient in collaboration influence strategic thinking and concise communication.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using computer equipment and software particularly spreadsheet applications.

  • Teamwork: Strong ability to cooperate in a team environment.

  • Adaptability: High degree of adaptability to change.

  • Deadline Management: Ability to execute tasks against strict deadlines and adapt to changing situations.

  • Confidentiality: Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
