The AHP team at Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Birmingham to support children and young people aged 7 to 19 years. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to helping our students who face social emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) ADHD autism (ASC) communication and sensory difficulties attachment difficulties childhood trauma and moderate learning difficulties (MLD) achieve excellent outcomes in preparation for adulthood.
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
You will provide tailored therapy services to pupils based on their clinical needs working closely with the schools clinical team. You will engage in multidisciplinary meetings staff meetings supervision training and annual appraisals. You will identify speech language and communication difficulties or disorders assessing their cause and nature. You will develop and deliver effective therapeutic programmes working oneonone or in groups to maximize each young persons improvement. You will plan and conduct training sessions for staff and parents/carers as needed.
