Job Description

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the nontenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Neuromuscular Medicine. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applications must be boardcertified or boardeligible in Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students residents Neuromuscular fellows as well as EMG technologists.

Clinical responsibilities may include the clinical care of patients with Neuromuscular diseases with focus on acquired and inherited neuropathies. This may include the performance of nerve conduction studies and EMG as well as inpatient Neurology service time in line with the standard clinical department requirements.

The candidate may have active involvement in Neuromuscular clinical trials.
