Salary Information:
Assistant Professor: Annual Minimum Salary$158300Annual Maximum Salary$190000 for FullTime Status

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) 3 nonprofit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Doctor of Physical Therapy Master of Arts in Medical Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

General Summary:
The Assistant Professor of DentistryOral Pathology and Oral Medicine is a fulltime position within the School of Dental Medicine. The position will be responsible for all oral pathology and oral medicine didactic and clinical teaching in the DMD program with some lecturing responsibilities in the General Pathology course. Ideal applicants will have teaching experience in these subjects in a predoctoral dental education program. A strong interest in teaching service and scholarly activity is desired. Alignment with the schools mission is essential.
Essential Job Functions:
Understands accreditation standards and expectations and adheres to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards.
Provides classroom and clinical instruction in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine; may also provide selected teaching in General Pathology.
Oversees the oral pathology/oral medicine curriculum within the predoctoral program.
Performs scholarly activity.
Provides university and school service as assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
Education:
Required: D.D.S./D.M.D. or equivalent. Completion of a CODA Accredited advanced training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology or Oral Medicine
Required: Washington State Dental License
Preferred: Board certification or boardeligible status
Experience:
Required: Didactic and clinical experience teaching oral and maxillofacial pathology and oral medicine to predoctoral students; experience managing clinical oral pathology and oral medicine patients; teaching experience in systemic/general pathology
Desired Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to exhibit strong collaborative skills to employ policies diligently and implement the dental schools mission and vision; strong organization interpersonal and planning skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team and flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances; ability to problem solve by analyzing issues creating action plans and following through resolution
