Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Coach position shall be organized motivated and an excellent communicator. This position is very important for the longterm success of player development within our club. The assistant coach will oversee onfield matters involving the team or any other league/competition in which the team competes. Youll report directly to the Head Coach and the Club Director.
General Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach with fieldset up supervising practices and help with managing the players behavior on and off the playing field
Overseeing the team schedule and communicating with parents as instructed by the Head Coach
Assisting the Club in identifying recommending and preparing players participating in advanced programs or with other age groups.
Representing the Club in all manners including the participation in Club or Club affiliate events such as tryouts or fundraising events
Assisting the Club in the planning supervision and coordination of recruitment of players for the program
Must have great communication skills and be responsible and abide fully by the Clubs operating bylaws and administrative bylaws for compliance which will be part of a coach performance evaluation.
Qualifications:
Passionate about kids and youth sports
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be fun energetic and enthusiastic
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be available to work on weekday evenings and weekends
Be confident and capable of dealing with parents and upholding the FTLRUSHFC philosophy
Position:
This is a parttime contractor position working during the fall and spring seasons August through May with optional summer opportunities. Competitive pay is determined by licenses and experience. Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen with permanent residence in the U.S. and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
