Job Description

Job Title: Per Diem Certified Occupation TherapyAssistant (Weekends Only)

Company: Home Health Care Inc.

Schedule: Saturdays AND Sundays (can be every other)

Pay: $42 $46 per visit.

Mileage reimbursement between clients!


Overview

Are you looking for supplemental or weekend only work Weare seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational TherapyAssistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. The COTA will work under thesupervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeuticservices that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities.This role is essential in promoting the health and wellbeing of individualsacross various settings including skilled nursing facilities clinics and homehealth environments.


Duties

  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at improving mobility strength and coordination.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises to facilitate recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes in compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols within the clinical environment.


Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of required and desirableskills including:

  • Knowledge of occupational health practices and principles.
  • Experience in acute care settings.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to therapy practices.
  • Familiarity with home care operations.
  • Understanding of medical terminology for effective communication within healthcare teams.
  • Experience in home health services providing therapy in patients residences.
  • Knowledge of geriatrics focusing on the unique needs of older adults.
