RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing direct service and retention to a caseload of up to 35 college bound high school students high school equivalency and college enrolled program participants.
Assist students with completing the college financial aid process and completing scholarship essays and application
Monitor and document client progress towards college enrollment retention and program outcomes via case notes and program database.
Assess and coordinate interventions and referrals for clients through internal and external providers
Facilitate college readiness workshops college tours and quarterly retention initiatives for program participants
Assist with recruitment engagement and retention for clients engaged in our college bridge program under direction of supervisor
Engage and monitor followup participants to ensure milestone/goal attainment (College matriculation and retention)
Provide coverage for program trips and events including college tours and college fairs
Conduct home visits and other fieldwork as required.
Report to and meet with supervisor monthly or as required
Complete program reports monthly or more frequently as required
Attend trainings both internal and external promoting college access and success or other professional development opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Program Specific Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in psychology social work education or related field.
A minimum of 1 year experience working with youth or social services setting or college access.
Experience with and knowledge of best practices in youth development college access and workforce development
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
