As our HIM Associate II you will be maintaining the integrity and precision of patient records. You will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interview patients as well as physicians and their staff playing a key role in managing and overseeing health information systems.
To thrive in this position you will need to be detailoriented and passionate about handling sensitive information. Previous experience in health information management will give you leverage to understand the department. You will utilize your understanding of Health Informatics (HI) to run an error analysis and recommend solutions.
Heres what you will experience working as an HIM Associate II:
Ensuring that the resolution of health record deficiencies aligns with patient care regulatory compliance legal standards and reimbursement activities.
Entering and updating software (epars PAS Chart Manager) for specified functions of central business office requests denials and DNFB activities.
Performing EMPI functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the facilitys master patient index and the patients medical record.
Monitoring task queues for data integrity issues including duplicates overlaps and overlays as well as other data integrity issues.
Initiating the medical record suspension process according to facility and regulatory requirements.
Performing quantitative reviews of the medical record and monitoring the quality of the functions of the global team.
