Context of the Job:
Under general supervision and following standard operating procedures assists researchers and supervisors collects data related to animal research and performs mechanical duties. The primary emphasis is preparation of facilities for research and teaching projects. Maintains buildings and equipment in good working conditions and performs various duties related to the care and management of poultry. Independent judgment is required to resolve routine problems.

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
Education Experience and Abilities:
Special Requirements:
With or without assistance must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in cramped areas and positions for extended periods of time climb ladders wear respirator and selfcontained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Employment is dependent upon passing a Universityspecified medical evaluation related to the use of respiratory protection equipment. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Ability to work after normal working hours to assist with farm emergencies and on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
