Job Description

SENCO Highly Regarded Secondary & SEN School Bristol ASAP Start

Location: Bristol
Contract: FullTime Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS SEN Allowance

A dedicated and experienced SENCO is required to lead the Special Educational Needs provision at a highly regarded secondary and SEN school in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of inclusive education and support students with a range of additional needs.

Your Role as SENCO:

  • Lead the SEN department and ensure highquality provision for all students with additional needs
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Education Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Support and train teachers to differentiate lessons and implement inclusive strategies
  • Work closely with parents carers and external agencies to ensure students receive the necessary support
  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for SEN provision

Who Were Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with SENCO accreditation (or willingness to obtain it)
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in supporting students with SEND
  • Excellent understanding of SEN legislation and best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff students and parents
