Maintenance Supervisor
The purpose of this position is to provide direction and organization to a 24 hour 365 day industrial maintenance team with the focus of supporting plant operations. A strong person in this role contributes to the effective operation of the plant by maintaining a solid customer driven attitude along with being a champion of change. Duties within this role include short medium and long term planning to effectively schedule preventative corrective predictive and project maintenance activities. To successfully plan and schedule the industrial maintenance supervisor takes into consideration personnel limitations regulations parts acquisition budget confines production schedules and plant priorities. Along with planning and scheduling the industrial maintenance supervisor is responsible for their workers in regards to safety and GMP compliance employee engagement investigations performance reviews technical and compliance training and customer service.
Qualifications :
BS degree in engineering discipline preferred
5 Experience in leading planning and organizing within a maintenance team
Computer proficiency
Leads change in a continuous improvement environment
Outstanding communication and documentation skills
Union relation experience
Short mid and long term forecasting and budgeting
Project management experience with stage and gate process
Strong technical and mechanical knowledge and aptitude
Hazardous materials or emergency response experience in a leadership role
Fundamental knowledge of all aspects within an industrial processing facility including systems such as electrical and motor controls process controls waste water treatment boilers ammonia refrigeration systems pumps and piping processing equipment and air handling
Knowledge of regulations in regards to employee safety employee training environmental compliance and ISO systems
Understand and demonstrate the ability to read interpret and create electrical drawings schematics blueprints electrical plant specifications and diagrams for installation and repair of plant systems
Understand and demonstrate the ability to identify select and operate technicians tools such as but not limited to screwdrivers pliers knifes hacksaw pipe threaders conduit benders and solder guns
Understand and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and maintain up to 480 volt (AC) motor and motor control wiring and equipment
