About Seqana:
Seqana is an EU and venturebacked startup building monitoring reporting and verification (MRV) tools to drive soil carbon sequestration and the transition towards regenerative and climatepreserving agriculture.
One of the most powerful (and underutilized) solutions to climate change is capturing carbon in soils via regenerative agricultural practices. This approach has the potential for several times more climate impact than planting forests while also providing extensive cobenefits such as erosion mitigation and improved water quality food security and biodiversity.
Existing solutions for MRV for the carbon market are one of the main drivers of cost and effort and often the limiting factor for new project development. At Seqana we combine satellite imagery our extensive proprietary library of soil datasets and machine learning to provide an accurate costeffective and efficient MRV solution for soil organic carbon. Our product enables project developers large corporations and NGOS with a scalable solution to measure and quantify the impact of their regenerative agricultural practices on soil carbon sequestration enabling them to report credible CO2 reductions.
The Role:
Our growing team is looking for a talented Solutions Engineering Intern to join us for Summer 2025 (JulySeptember). In your role youll help us deliver our soil organic carbon monitoring solutions working at the interface of our tech and sales teams to support the creation of our client deliverables. This is a fulltime position perfect for students with experience in GIS software engineering and a passion for climate solutions.
Preferred start date: Between June 16 July 21 2025
Commitment: Fulltime preferred 40 hours per week) with the possibility of staying with Seqana as a Working Student after the internship.
Duration: 3month internship (adjustable)
Compensation: 1.00000 per month
Location: Beautiful office in the heart of BerlinKreuzberg
Tasks
- Learn to operate our product tools and run geospatial analyses for multiple client scenarios
- Support creation of client deliverables including visuals statistical insights from our internal tools and presentation materials
- Prepare and curate datasets from our extensive proprietary database
- Work closely with our Solutions Engineering team to deliver client value
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in GIS Environmental Science Computer Science or related fields
- Software development experience (academic or industry) including with Python
- Experience with GIS applications geospatial data processing preferably with QGIS
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills initiative and enthusiasm to learn and grow
- Bonus: Familiarity with remote sensing concepts
