Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Building Repairs and General Maintenance:
- Perform minor repairs on plumbing electrical systems or furniture (e.g. fixing leaking taps light bulbs or broken desks).
- Check and maintain heating cooling and ventilation systems.
- Report major repairs and maintenance needs to the school administration.

Security and Safety:
- Lock and unlock school doors gates and windows as per the school s schedule.
- Ensure fire exits and emergency doors are clear and accessible.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards (e.g. slippery floors or broken equipment) to ensure student and staff safety.

Litter Picking and Grounds Maintenance:
- Clean the school s exterior grounds including pathways playgrounds and car parks.
- Mow the lawn trim hedges and clear leaves and debris from outdoor areas.

Setting Up and Moving Furniture:
- Assist in setting up rooms for school events assemblies or meetings.
- Move furniture or equipment as needed for activities or events.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment techniques and chemicals.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks.
- Good organizational skills and time management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify problems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks (e.g. lifting bending).
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a caretaker or janitorial role is often preferred but not essential.
Requirements

- Must have a full clean driving license and be confident in driving mini buses.
