Vuori is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing general accounting team. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Assistant Controller to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information manage daytoday financial operations and establish policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals associated with different functional areas of accounting. The role requires an enthusiastic detailoriented team player that has a strong sense of ownership over responsibilities and is comfortable working in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
What youll get to do:
- As part of the monthly accounting close prepare journal entries analyze results and prepare general ledger reconciliation schedules by reviewing general ledger activity and obtaining a full understanding of the account activity to support monthend reported balances to ensure financial statements are complete accurate and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Analyze certain income statement accounts by reviewing expense trending as well as accrual analysis for completeness of liabilities and expense capture as well as providing input with regards to variances
- Participate in financial audits. Complete requested materials and assist in preparing assigned schedules and gathering requested support for the audits
- Document policies procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
- Special projects as need
- Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and provide support as needed
- Identify suggest and contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting function
Qualifications :

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of the fundamentals associated with different functional areas of accounting
- Strong time management analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong organizational skills professional curiosity and work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively within established timeframes in a fastpaced environment; deadline driven
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills ability to convey accounting concepts to nonaccounting business partners
- Ability to make suggestions and implement revisions to current processes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; a successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong Excel skills and Microsoft Office products
- Microsoft D365 experience is not required but preferred
- CPA not required but preferred
- Prior experience working in retail industry not required but preferred

The salary range for this role is $90000 per year $105000 per year
