Sr Mgr Manufacturing Engineering

Leader and functional manager of a team of engineers responsible for sustaining production processes the introduction of new technologies and continuous improvement. This manager will define and execute the strategic plan for engineering and drive timely and highquality of projects through the management and mentoring of direct reports was well as the utilization of personal expertise. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lead the of the strategic planning of the department.
• Leads and manages the operation of engineering department to ensure goal/objective achievement directly or through subordinate staff.
• Formulates and executes longterm plans for cost/profit control.
• Creates manages and controls department budget.
• Manages large projects: Organization definition planning implementation and control.
• Ensures engineering application programs meet specifications quality goals target cost schedule and remain within approved budgets.
• Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Manage and motivate for higher performance; increase skills levels.

Perform the evaluation for annual MERIT granting providing feedback to the staff under your charge.

Ensure the implementation of life and career plans for identified personnel with high potential.

Promote leadership development programs skills and behaviors generated by the corporate and promoted locally.

• Promotes use of new technologies and industryleading trends to product management activities.
• The position requires ongoing and critical participation with other internal groups such as Operations and QA in developing and rolling out the preferred products and system solution.
• Perform the preparation of quarter operations review (QOR).
• Prepare and represent the engineering department in internal and external audits.

• Coordinate the implementation process for transfer lines and line duplication to the Mexicali site to support demand requirements and profitability.
• Promote the development of continuous improvement programs to generate savings or efficiency improvements.
• Ensure the implementation of Intuitive culture concepts in the department.
• Ensure the establishment of succession plans for critical positions of the Company.
• Consolidate information on the functional status of engineering production and quality processes.
• Drive our Culture Strategy by fostering our mission founding principles individual and leadership expectations.

Qualifications :

Skills Experience Education & Training:

• BS in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical Electronics etc)
• High level of English speaking reading and writing.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 (preferably)
• Proven ability to lead and motivate across functional boundaries
• 3 to 5 years as and Manager in Engineering or Quality.
• Experience in definition of departmental strategies.
• Experience in the medical industry (preferably)
• Experience in leading validation and verification process.
• Strong analytic skills as proven by track record for analyzing and fixing complex problems in products and processes
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software.
• Professional English spoken proficiency
