Job Description

About the position

Our client is responsible for providing primary support for enduser devices and network hardware to IHA providers and staff. This role includes user support maintenance training installation and project coordination for assigned systems. The technician will troubleshooting hardware and software issues implement applications and provide onsite support serving as an escalation resource for junior technicians and the Service Desk team.


Responsibilities

  • Research evaluate install configure and troubleshoot hardware peripherals and equipment.
  • Define and take proactive steps to avoid problems and minimize system downtime.
  • Troubleshoot local practice network systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions.
  • Develop and implement training programs for users on operating systems and desktop networking.
  • Perform configuration imaging moving troubleshooting and repair of enduser devices and printers.
  • Serve as a knowledge expert for complex issues that cannot be addressed by lower tier support.
  • Move IT equipment as needed and ensure accurate information delivery to practices and administration.
  • Adhere to predefined SLAs and Service Desk Metrics.
  • Work with IT Leadership on HIPAA compliance regarding software information services.
  • Provide offhours support on a rotating basis.
  • Prioritize inquiries and determine when to escalate to next tier of support.
  • Communicate effectively with IHA personnel regarding system changes and issues.
  • Provide technical support to endusers of applications utilized throughout IHA.
  • Serve as a point of contact for system vendors regarding system issues.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of experience in an IT support position.
  • CompTIA A or Microsoft MTA certification preferred.
  • Experience with Active Directory Citrix XenApp and Microsoft 365 preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of multilevel desktop computer systems applications and/or equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware software networking and printing issues.
  • Intermediate understanding of LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Nicetohaves

  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to speak before groups of people either inperson or virtually.
