Job Description

Reception Teacher Fantastic Opportunity in Barking

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Teacher for a thriving 2form entry school in Barking starting in April 2025. This is a fulltime position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that supports childrens early development.
  • Foster independence curiosity and a love for learning through playbased and structured activities.
  • Assess and track childrens progress identifying next steps and providing individualized support.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants colleagues and parents to ensure every child thrives.
  • Build strong relationships with parents providing regular updates on childrens progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in school events meetings and professional development opportunities.

Reception Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching in Early Years (Reception or Nursery).
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
  • Passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player with a positive and flexible approach.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and best early years teaching practices.
