Job Description
- Job Title: Senior Engineer (SQL Developer)
- 1 position
- Job Summary: Seeking a Senior Engineer (SQL Developer) with 710 years of experience to design optimize and maintain highperformance SQL databases ensuring data integrity and security. Ideal candidates will have strong SQL expertise experience preferably in the retail domain and proficiency in cloudbased solutions and ETL processes with Java experience being a significant plus.
- Key responsibilities:
- Write optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Design develop and maintain efficient and scalable SQL databases queries and stored procedures.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure seamless integration between databases and applications.
- Monitor and analyze database performance identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues.
- Implement and maintain data security backup and recovery strategies to protect critical information.
- Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Participate in database migrations and upgrades ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Work in a dynamic environment to meet evolving business requirements and priorities.
- Experience with Java is a plus.

- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong expertise in SQL Server (or similar RDBMS) and proficiency in writing complex queries stored procedures functions and triggers.
- Proficiency in database design normalization and data modeling.
- Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and query optimization.
- Experience with cloudbased database solutions (e.g. AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g. SSIS or similar) is a plus.
- Experience with scripting like PowerShell Python etc is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git.
- Understanding of data security standards and compliance requirements.
- Additional skills:
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
