Salary: CTC R350000.00 per annum

Working Hours: 08h00 to 17h00

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Setter MB50 Cell to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal machine performance troubleshooting technical issues maintaining quality standards and supporting production efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise in injection molding reheat stretch blow molding and injection blow molding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Responsibilities:

• Identify report and rectify technical issues related to production equipment machines and molds.
• Understand and apply knowledge of:
• Product quality criteria
• Material feeding drying and molding processes
• Technical principles drawings pneumatics hydraulics and electrical systems
• Perform fault analysis and troubleshooting for:
• Product quality defects
• Mouldrelated issues
• Machine malfunctions (mechanical hydraulic pneumatic electrical)
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Maintenance & Production Managers.

2. Machine Maintenance & Spare Parts Management:

• Develop and implement maintenance plans and checklists.
• Ensure scheduled maintenance is completed by internal teams or service providers.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
• Identify and procure spare parts for assigned equipment.
• Assist in the ordering process and manage spare part stock levels.

3. Machine Setting & Process Optimization:

• Optimize the production process to ensure efficiency and highquality output.
• Adjust machine settings for optimal performance and cycle times.
• Maintain process integrity for each production run and document any changes in settings.

4. Production Management & Coordination:

• Work closely with Maintenance & Production Managers to align machine availability with maintenance schedules.
• Communicate job progress completion timelines and production concerns.
• Foster effective relationships with internal teams (QC Production) and external stakeholders (suppliers technical teams etc..
• Continuously seek improvements and innovations for process optimization.

5. Administration & Reporting:

• Maintain logs of completed jobs and defect reports.
• Analyze defect data with managers to enhance production efficiency.
• Liaise with external suppliers for service quotes and spare parts.
• Assist in budgeting and planning for annual maintenance requirements.

6. Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and hazardfree workspace.
• Report and document accidents incidents and near misses.

7. Quality Assurance & Food Safety:

• Apply company quality principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
• Report any food safety hazards to management.

8. SelfDevelopment & Continuous Learning:

• Identify areas for personal growth and skill enhancement.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements technical updates and best practices.
• Engage in continuous learning through manuals supplier discussions and technical research.

9. General Responsibilities:

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Ensure the team is well informed and equipped to work independently.
• Lead by example and act as a role model in work ethics and behavior.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Education & Experience:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum N2 qualification in Tool Jig & Die trade theory (Trade tested with Red Seal preferred).
• At least 5 years of relevant machine setting experience in a manufacturing environment.
