About the Job:
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our clients team working under the direct supervision of a Data Scientist. This role involves collecting organizing and interpreting statistical data to support both internal teams and external clients in making informed decisions.
- Interpret data analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Enhances data collection procedures for building analytical systems
- Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports printouts and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- At least three years of professional experience as a Data Analyst.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc) databases (SQL etc) and programming (XML JavaScript or ETL frameworks).
- Technical expertise in data models database design development data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
- Ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a high level of mathematical ability.
- Methodical logical approach with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to plan work effectively meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Understanding of ethical considerations in data gathering and analysis.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Can start immediately if possible.
