Key job responsibilities
Quality Management Process Adherence and Design
Under the guidance of the Quality Management Consultant document and implement QM initiatives within the organization including:o Process mappingreview current processes and update/revise as requiredo Testing Protocolsreview current processes and update/revise as requiredo Cycle Time Validationso Calibration of internally validated QMI tools and maintenance of calibration log.o Coordination of external testing by 3rd party provider; includes identification of items to be assessed arranging shipment receipt of items and updating of log.
Conduct Product Tests and Assessment
Testing and assessment of finished products Test parts or products using a variety of techniques and measurement tools including pressure test chambers vernier calipers light table etc. to ensure that all customer quality specifications and quality measurements are met.
Identify Product Defects
Responsible for identifying product defects and potential issues and determining how to resolve themthis includes notifying production supervisor of issue and shutting down production lines when necessary. Analysis of lab results or usability tests to identify defecttrends and ensure they do not persist
Record and Report Issues
Keep detailed records of product defects or manufacturing issues as they test and assess products These records can help identify and eliminate recurring problems and provide paper trail to aid in accountability and error reporting. Develop database (Excel) to capture results from regular quality tests and results Compile Quality Management Performance reports based on data and provide to supervisors/plant managers to assist with decision making re: manufacturing process and practices this includes nonconformance reports and investigations as well as follow up of corrective actions as required.
Support Process Improvements
Support process improvements through testing and quality assurance processes Develop KPIs and implement continuous process improvements to drive decisions for parts repair inventory and operations Establish and maintain good quality standards and improve overall quality management systems. Support Quality Management Consultant initiatives for successful 3rd party certification Review update and maintain our Quality Manual Monitor and maintain any additional reference material required for Quality Assessment Participate in ISO 9001 Audits as required
