Job Description
Olssons South Facilities Engineering and Design Team is growing and were looking for a Security Systems Designer to support data center projects. This role focuses on designing and integrating security systems to protect missioncritical infrastructure ensuring seamless access control incursion detection and surveillance solutions.
You will collaborate with engineers designers and clients to develop stateoftheart security systems leveraging the latest in physical security technology to meet the high standards of data center protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design physical layer security systems for data centers including access control intrusion detection surveillance and monitoring systems.
- Develop detailed layouts for security infrastructure coordinating with telecommunications and facility teams.
- Utilize BIM/CAD tools (Revit AutoCAD Navisworks) to produce highprecision security system models.
- Ensure compliance with industry security (ASIS) standards.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate security systems with telecommunications and building automation.
- Conduct site visits and risk assessments to support system implementation and project success.
- Stay up to date on emerging security technologies and best practices for highsecurity environments.

- 8 years of experience in security system design for data centers critical infrastructure or commercial facilities.
- Knowledge of access control intrusion detection and surveillance systems.
- Familiarity with ASIS and other industry security standards (PSP certification is a plus).
- Experience in CAD/BIM software (Revit AutoCAD Navisworks).
- Strong technical problemsolving skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Ability to interact with clients contractors and internal teams.
