Job Description

Get to Know the Team

The Country Legal team provides contractual regulatory compliance governance advice including the preparation of templates reviews of agreements from multiple Grab and Supermarket businesses and attending to the product launches.

 

Get to Know the Role

  • You will focus on the Grab and Supermarket businesses.
  • You will report to General Counsel Malaysia and working onsite.

 

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will create new templates and review/amend a variety of agreements including commercial tenancy agreements and undertake legal research and help prepare draft advice for the business.
  • You will conduct legal analysis on new product initiatives and any related requests from stakeholders.
  • You will liaise with regional Grab Legal counsels in the region internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • You will keep updated on important legal and compliancerelated information including changes in laws in the region related to the companys business.
  • You will assist with administrative legal tasks.

Qualifications :

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You have 6 years postqualification experience in a reputable law firm with a preference of 23 years as inhouse counsel in an MNC.
  • You have experience drafting negotiation and research skills and can advise on any commercial contracts related to our business (e.g. real estate competition ehailing laws contracts companies competition IP laws) including providing advice on commercial real estate industry practices and consumer protection laws.
  • You have indepth experience in commercial real estate negotiation and drafting skills civil litigation and competition law.
  • You can understand the business commercial requirements our strategies and directions its people and its organizational structures.
  • You have the capability to perform regular legal research and provide legal updates on current legal issues.
  • You are familiar contributing to legal programs (e.g. risk management training standard contracts review) as assigned by your direct report.
  • You have a bachelors degree in Law.
  • You have been called to the English Bar or Malaysian Bar.
