The team is building solutions by allowing our partners (i.e. drivers and merchants) to get access to financial services (lending and insurance) products for their everyday needs.
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for Backend Engineer specializing in Java to join our engineering team in Jakarta Indonesia. As a Backend Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing robust and scalable serverside applications that power our cuttingedge products. You will be reporting to an Engineering Manager. This role is onsite based on Jakarta.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Develop and maintain scalable and secure backend systems using Java and related technologies
- Collaborate with other teams to define design and ship new features
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented code
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues
- Participate in code reviews and help improve our development practices
- Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
- Integrate thirdparty services and APIs
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment
- Stay uptodate with new trends and technologies in backend development
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
- 3 years of experience in backend development using Java
- Strong proficiency in Java programming and the Spring Framework
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of database management systems (SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with version control systems preferably Git
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies
- Java certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer) will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of scalable and distributed systems is beneficial
