Job Description

This role is responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions within the business supporting the Management Accountant and CFO in financial report preparation. Key responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger with a high degree of accuracy ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to support business decisionmaking and providing guidance to both the administration and accounts payable teams. Additionally the role involves supporting the operating business and ensuring the accurate and timely creation of customer invoices.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Daily bank reconciliations 

  • Updating 13week cashflow file for daily transactions 

  • Completion of various balance sheet reconciliations for monthly management reporting 

  • Invoice entry for steel procurement invoices 

  • Debtor invoice creation 

  • Debtor receipt creation 

  • Payroll processing and STP lodgment 

  • Depreciation register management 

  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly payroll tax reporting 

  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly BAS reporting 

  • Preparation and lodgment of quarterly BAS for related party entities 

  • Preparation of project profitability budgets 

  • Preparation of the annual insurance review documentation 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Business/Accounting (or equivalent). 

  • VCE completion 


Additional Information :

Knowledge Skills Abilities Experience: 

  • Intermediate computer literacy including Microsoft suite of programs (Word Outlook Project Excel) 

  • Good communication skills and good organisational skills. 

  • Good time management skills 

  • Able to work as part of and lead a team under pressure. 

  • Personal drive initiative and resourcefulness.
