Job Description
The senior mine water engineer will integrate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to provide technical support and senior review related to mine water management planning design permitting implementation and monitoring across Canada and internationally.
The senior mine water engineer will identify and assess risk associated with water management projects and develop strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. Successfully completing project work will require strong technical aptitude welldeveloped interpersonal communication skills familiarity with modern engineering software programs and the willingness to seek guidance when appropriate.
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Mine Water Management and support our clients and their water management needs.

Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelors degree in civil or environmental engineering with a specialization in water resource or equivalent; OR a masters degree in engineering preferred
- At least 15 years in water resources engineering with a focus on mine water management hydrology water quality and water treatment
- Professional Engineer or Geologist (P.Eng or P.Geo) license or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) is helpful
- Experience in overseeing science and engineering consulting projects related to mine water management
- Working knowledge in modern software programs for professional office activities (e.g. Microsoft Office suite and spreadsheet calculations)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and technical communication skills (both written and oral) and fluent in English.
