Job Description

Western Digital High Volume BackEnd Hard Disk Drive Manufacturing is an industry recognized leading process thanks to the highlevel of automation and efficiency for maximized throughput.

The successful candidate will join the BE Manufacturing Code Development Staging and Architecture team to work with a team of highly qualified software and firmware architects and engineers to develop a selected feature for a common flexible and abstracted platform across both Enterprise and Client space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • The intern will participate in the design and implementation of Host Application software or Manufacturing Firmware features using advanced development environment and tools.
  • The departmental project potentially exposes the candidate to Machine Learning Secure Drive technology and / or several other advanced techniques.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED

  • The candidate is expected to be pursuing either a Computer Science Computer Engineering or a technically comparable BS or MS degree.
  • The candidate is also expected to have some working knowledge of S/W / F/W Object Oriented programming C and Python / TCl / Perl scripts.

SKILLS

  • Strong verbal / written communication / team player skills are advantages.
  • It is greatly desired that the candidate is exposed to System Interlock analysis and problem solving.
