Job Description
As an Industrial Hygiene Field Technician Intern you will work with a team of experts to perform environmental health and safety consulting services and provide unparalleled client service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gaining experience working directly with clients and project representatives (adjusters brokers insurers property owners or managers public and government entities commercial and private companies etc..
- During necessary site visits you will obtain related project documents including sampling and notes.
- Assisting with field inspections and necessary site visits to evaluate the scope of work/damage.
- Assisting on any number of projects at various stages of completion.
- Assisting in preparing studies and reports following standard format and procedures.
- Assist in Investigating measuring and evaluating environmental health and safety conditions at client locations and carrying out relevant research development planning to complete comprehensive reports for review by senior staff.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biology Environmental Science or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both your major and overall.
- Proficient in general computer skills as well as Microsoft office including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Reliable transportation to the New Orleans Louisiana office and any regional travel that may be necessary.
- Strong writing skills for writing reports.
- Problem Solving/Analysis skills
- We are looking for someone who works well in a team environment and is selfmotivated.
Work Environment:
- Wet or humid or colder conditions may be encountered in properties assessed for damages.
- Varying levels of personal protective equipment will be required at various times. A physical examination will be performed by an occupational physician to ensure that you can wear personal protective equipment where needed.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Some sitting limited to lunch breaks driving and report writing.
- Most duties performed on feet.
- Able to carry equipment as much as 30lbs unassisted.
- Push or pull items.
- Able to reach above head.
- Able to bend at the knee.
- Able to climb ladders to reach high areas.
- Able to squat kneel or crouch in confined spaces when necessary.
- Able to detect burning sensations on skin etc.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $20 $24 per hour. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset experience training location scope of role management responsibility etc.
