Job Description
Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team you will perform direct patient services tasks
Accountabilities:
- Assisting with patient activities of daily living
- Mobilization and transport
- Ordering supplies
- Daily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areas
- Maintain and distribute departmental monitoring equipment
- Transporting patient specimens to the pneumatic tube
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe work environment
Qualifications :
- Personal Support Worker Certificate required from an accredited institution
- Current C.P.R. Certificate
- Basic knowledge of Aseptic Techniques
- Recent related PSW experience within a hospital setting
- Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and comprehension skills
- Flexibility to meet unit needs
- Ability to work well with team members
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
- Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
- Must demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
- Ability to travel between and work at all hospitals as required
- Able to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 2530 pounds)
Additional Information :
Hours: Currently Days/Nights 8 and 12 hours shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $30.76 per hour
Maximum: $31.38 per hour
